JAPANESE EXPLOSION CLAIMS LEGENDARY HERO Cosmic Ranger

OSAKA, Japan (AP) Tears were shed throughout the world today at the announcement that THE COSMIC WOLF had died. Osaka officials report that the death occurred during a suspicious explosion on a small, privately owned Island fifty miles off the southern coast of Japan. Police are now investigating this explosion and it is rumored to be tied In to an investigation of an international criminal organization.

Cosmic Wolf was one of the four costumed heroes who originally founded "THE PANTHEON" As the name suggested these heroes were like gods to us mere mortals who regarded these beings with awe and admiration. They heralded a new age into existence - THE HEROIC AGE-. These heroes were the first and greatest of the many who even now try to follow In their footsteps.

Perhaps best known for his comic books and movies chronicling his many real-life adventures, Cosmic Wolf is sometimes overlooked for his many civic contributions and the philanthropic attitude towards the world in general. Together with the other founding members of the Pantheon, Cosmic Wolf formed the international Conglomerate that comprises CHEM-TECH, BIO-TECH, and CYBER-TECH. These three corporations, and their subsidiaries, have done more for the medical and scientific research throughout the world than that achieved by all of the world powers combined. The most amazing fact about these corporations is the fact that ninety percent (90%) of all profits Is directed back into research.

Cosmic Wolf's body was retrieved from the wreckage by, as yet, undisclosed associates of The Pantheon and was flown by charter Jet to BIO-TECH laboratories In Hamilton Ontario. The body Is being kept In cryogenic suspension in the hopes that some means say be found to revive him at some future time.

Funeral service arrangements have yet to be finalized.

On hand in Japan for comment en this tragic event was, possibly, the most popular of all the Pantheon; The Australian Ninja. Deeply moved by this event the Ninja announced that he was retiring from the "super-hero biz" end, as the only accessible member of The Pantheon, was discontinuing corporate funding for super hero activities of any sort. He stated that too many Innocents get hurt when any super-type battle takes place. The Ninja's personal pilot Toshi was also killed In the explosion.

He did say however, that the good work started by The Pantheon would continue and that he had recently purchased Toshigama Industries in Japan and was transferring key personnel to CYBER-TECH( In New York to assure a on-schedule date of full operation for the new scientific space station satellite due to be operational sometime later this month.
